Here’s the tea: When Bad Bunny announced his Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour, everyone immediately noticed something big was missing. There are no U.S. dates. Zero. Nada. And the reason? It’s not about money, venues, or even schedules. According to Benito himself, he’s worried about his fans.
Why Bad Bunny Won’t Tour the U.S

In an interview with i-D magazine, Bad Bunny explained that when planning his shows, he and his team had real conversations about immigration enforcement and how unsafe his concerts could feel for some fans. He admitted:
“There was the issue of — like, f—ing ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”
Think about it: for immigrant communities, even something as fun as going to a concert can turn into a nightmare if there’s a chance immigration agents show up. And Benito wasn’t about to put his audience through that kind of stress. He made it clear this wasn’t a decision fueled by anger or negativity toward the U.S. He loves his fans there — but protecting them comes first.
This isn’t just paranoia. Across the country, major Latino cultural events have already been shut down out of fear of ICE raids. Festivals like Carnaval de Puebla in Philly and Festival Chapín in Los Angeles were canceled this year because organizers didn’t want to risk families being targeted while they were just trying to celebrate their culture. As one community leader put it, “People are scared to go out.”

So Bad Bunny’s choice feels like a reflection of that larger reality. If entire festivals are being canceled, why would a global superstar want to put tens of thousands of fans in a vulnerable situation?
Where the Tour Is Going
Just because the U.S. is off the map doesn’t mean fans won’t see Benito anywhere. The Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour is massive: stops across Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and of course, Puerto Rico. He’s still promising a global experience, just without the continental U.S. on the list.

And U.S. fans? They’re not completely shut out. They can travel to Puerto Rico (which is technically U.S. territory but outside the ICE enforcement dynamic he’s worried about) or catch him abroad. Sure, it’s not as convenient as hopping over to a local arena, but if you know anything about Bad Bunny’s fans, it’s that they’re willing to cross oceans for him.
