The Australian singer-songwriter known as Firerose accused Billy Ray of requesting the divorce the day after she underwent a mastectomy following a diagnosis of BRCA1, a genetic mutation that increases the likelihood of developing breast cancer. She also claimed in court that she suffered abuse and psychological violence from the country singer.
In response, Miley Cyrus‘s father sought to obtain a temporary restraining order and accused his ex-wife of spending $96,986 on 37 unauthorized charges on his business account.

“Since the Plaintiff filed his initial complaint, he discovered that the Defendant had been conducting a campaign to isolate the Plaintiff from his family. He has discovered that the Defendant, unknowingly to Plaintiff, blocked at least one (1) of his daughters from being able to contact him on his phone(s) or electronic devices.”
Let’s remember, even though Miley Cyrus has not addressed the issue yet, she left him out of her Grammys acceptance speech and also stated in another interview that she inherited “narcissism” from him.
About the divorce, Billy Ray was “hoping to save the Defendant from personal embarrassment and shame.” The filing continues: “Furthermore, Plaintiff is aware that the Defendant has been attempting to obtain her U.S. citizenship for several years, and Plaintiff was concerned how it would impact her application for citizenship since she may have provided false information to the Immigration and Naturalization Service.”
