Kjersti Flaa shares her “nightmare” interview with Blake Lively
A video of Norwegian interviewer Kjersti Flaa, currently going viral on platforms like X and TikTok, has added fuel to the fire. Titled “The Blake Lively Interview That Made Me Want to Quit My Job,” the four-minute clip shows Lively and her co-star, Parker Posey, engaging in what many are calling “mean girl behavior.”

Flaa, reflecting on the experience, describes it as the “most uncomfortable interview” she’s ever conducted. She wrote in the description “Is it not okay to congratulate someone on their pregnancy or inquire about a woman’s costumes in a film?”
Flaa’s video, which has nearly hit one million views, highlights the tension that unfolded during the interview for the 2016 film Cafe Society.
The awkwardness begins when Flaa congratulates Lively, who was just two months into revealing her second pregnancy. Lively’s response? A sarcastic, “Congrats on YOUR little bump.” The uncomfortable laughter that followed only seemed to heighten the tension.
Attempting to steer the conversation back to the film, Flaa asks about the costumes, praising the visuals. However, Lively turns to Posey and remarks, “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes?” Flaa counters that she would indeed ask, probably because the film’s 1930s setting makes the costumes a significant element.
Viewers were quick to comment on the actresses’ behavior. “I’m more offended that they’re basically ignoring the interviewer and having a side conversation,” one user noted, pointing out the lack of eye contact and exclusion of Flaa from the discussion.

The majority of comments seem to side with the interviewer. One user remarked, “This interview was so embarrassing… for Blake. What absolute mean girl behavior. Imagine being complimented on your pregnancy, and your first reaction is to insult the interviewer.”
The timing of this interview’s resurgence is telling, as more people are calling out Blake Lively’s seemingly aggressive behavior.
