Life seemed to smile to Britney Spears when she was released from her father’s conservatorship; unfortunately, according to a TMZ’s new documentary, the singer ‘took refuge’ in a world of addictions and depression.
A new documentary by TMZ shows the most difficult moments that the ‘Princess of Pop’ has had to face lately, and has worried all her fans. The project under the title Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom shows the lifestyle that the singer has opted for after getting her freedom in 2021 and a dream wedding with the ‘love of her life.’
The ‘Toxic’ singer, as revealed by TMZ executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere, has done nothing but live in isolation and oversleep. “Sometimes (Britney) drives to a quiet dirt road, pulls over, and just meditates (…) She’s a compulsive sleeper, she sleeps for three days and then won’t sleep at all for the next few,” added director Brad Appleton.
Britney Spears’ Addictions?
According to the documentary, the singer is addicted to coffee and energy drinks, consuming gallons of Red Bull and Celsius, which at the same time produce manic episodes. These products would help her stay awake for up to three days in a row, a time she spends reading fiction books.
This would be a consequence of the terrible fear that the singer has of someone entering her house at night and wanting to take her to a psychiatric clinic. Another fascination of the singer that keeps her loved ones and fans uneasy are knives, objects that after the conservatorship, it was recommended to keep away from her.
Britney Spears Has Not Seen Her Children for a Year Now
Another important situation that is addressed in the documentary is that the ‘Princess of Pop’ has more than a year without seeing her children, since most of the time, she only sleeps or is drinking beverages that keep her alert. The celebrity’s relationship with her sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16, is so bad that they don’t even talk over the phone.
Sam Asghari Rejects New Britney Spears Documentary
In this TMZ production, they claim that her husband Sam Asghari prefers to stay away from her, because every time they are together they fight. The model deemed the documentary as ‘disgusting.’
“I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she had no voice, they went and told her story as if it were theirs,” he said on social media. “All of a sudden, after 15 years when she’s free after all those lights, all those things that happened, now you’re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story? Don’t believe what you read online. Ninety-nine percent of the time those are fake stories for you to click and for them to make money,” he added.
The project that shows the ‘dark’ side of the singer, where her physical and mental health is at stake, premiered this May 15 on Fox channel, in the United States.
