Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes didn’t get back together, despite the rumors that were going around after they enjoyed Coachella together last weekend.
Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes Are Not Together Again
Although it pains us to admit it, everything seems to indicate that the “Señorita” singers had a one-night “romance” at Coachella… and that was the extent of their attempt to rekindle their love story.
According to a source close to them who spoke to Page Six, the celebrities are very good friends, and although they have overcome certain complicated situations that led to their breakup over a year ago, that doesn’t mean they have decided to give it another shot.
“Shawn and Camila remain friends with a lot of love and history between them, but they will not be getting back together. They have kept in touch since their breakup and decided to meet up at Coachella since they were both going,” the insider said.
“One thing led to another as the night went on,” the source added regarding the kiss that the famous pair shared during the event, which led many internet users to think that the couple had already gotten back together.
This information also contradicts a video that is circulating on social media of the moment at Coachella, as in the clip, a fan approached Camila to ask if she and Shawn were back together, and the singer had said yes.
So far, neither of the stars nor their representatives has commented on the matter to deny or clarify the reports, so the situation may take a new twist pretty soon, although false hopes should not be held onto.
The reunion of Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes comes almost a year and a half after they confirmed on social media in November 2021 that they had decided to end their relationship.
“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends,” the artists commented in a joint statement, where they indicated that their mutual love as human beings was stronger than ever.
Their relationship began in July 2019, and they even spent a large part of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown together.
