Following the release of a horrific video showing Diddy brutally beating and dragging her through a hotel room, Cassie stood up for herself and other victims of domestic abuse.
Cassie posted on Instagram a statement that reads:
“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet. The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.”
“With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.”
“I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone. This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you. Love Always, Cassie”
The video was recorded from multiple angles on March 5, 2016 and shows the rapper grabbing, pushing, dragging, and kicking Cassie Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel located in Century City, Los Angeles.
At first, Diddy claimed the allegations regarding the incident were false, but when the video was released, he posted an apology video.
The Apology Video
“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Oh those acting lessons Sean P Diddy Combs took for Take Him to the Greek are really paying off with those🐊 tears.

The artist claims to have sought professional help and had to go to therapy to rehabilitate himself. “I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m very sorry, but I am committed to being a better man every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness.”
Although many fans have mentioned that it’s terrible he didn’t directly apologize to Cassie Ventura in the video, many people feel he is only apologizing because the video was exposed on social media. He also made no reference to her or to the four women and one man who are accusing him of sexual abuse and physical assaults.
In reality, this happens because, according to TMZ, both Cassie and Diddy signed NDAs, which in part prohibits them from mentioning the other’s name in public.

As you can see, Cassie also didn’t use Diddy’s name on her instagram post.
