The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games ended on a high note with a musical performance by the Canadian singer Celine Dion, who amazed and captivated us. Despite being in serious ill health, she managed to convey all the emotion that comes with singing on a stage like Paris 2024.
Celine Dion brought everyone to their knees with her voice at the 2024 Olympics

For the opening of Paris 2024, Celine surprised us by singing a classic of French music at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris: l’Hymne à l’amour (Hymn to Love) by the legendary Edith Piaf.
Accompanied by a piano and wearing a dazzling white dress, the iconic singer performed this great song, moving not only the athletes and attendees of the ceremony but also the rest of the world who watched the event live.

It’s worth noting that this is her first time performing on such a massive stage since she was diagnosed with a rare disease known as stiff-person syndrome (which is characterized by the progressive stiffness of the body of the person suffering from it), which has jeopardized her musical career.
Despite this challenging moment in her life, Celine proved to be an inspiration and a great way to close the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
