The spiritual leader offered apologies after the event with the minor; however, many people stopped believing in his word. “He is sorry for the harm his words may have caused; His Holiness sometimes jokes with people he knows innocently and playfully, even in public and in front of cameras. He is sorry for the incident,” read a statement issued on the Dalai Lama’s official social network accounts.
