On Thursday, President-elect Donald Trump revealed his selection of actors Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as “Special Ambassadors” to Hollywood, California.

“These individuals will act as my Special Envoys, tasked with revitalizing Hollywood. Over the past few years, the industry has seen significant business losses to other nations. We’re going to bring it back — bigger, better, and stronger than ever!” Trump shared via his Truth Social account.
Jon Voight, a longtime advocate for Trump, publicly supported his initial presidential campaign in 2016. In recognition of his contributions to the arts, Voight received the National Medal of Arts from Trump in 2019.
Mel Gibson, who voiced his support for Trump in October 2024, has been vocal about his criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris, questioning her competence. Recently, he has gained attention for promoting theories about the California wildfires after his home was destroyed in one of the incidents.
Sylvester Stallone, who endorsed Trump late in the 2024 election, introduced the president-elect at the November America First Policy Institute Gala. During the event, Stallone likened Trump to George Washington and described him as a “mythical figure.”

In his announcement, Trump expressed confidence in the trio, writing, “These exceptionally talented individuals will serve as my representatives, providing insights and recommendations. With their help, Hollywood will return to its former glory, reminiscent of The Golden Age of cinema, just like the United States will regain its greatness.”
