Death is the only certain thing we all have in life and Ed Sheeran is clear about that. However, the line between being cautious and falling into creepy is very thin and it seems that Sheeran could be very close to crossing it. Recently, in an interview for the American magazine GQ, Ed revealed several details about what he would like to happen to him after his death. The singer explained that for some time now he has been in charge of preparing everything necessary for when the day of his death arrives.
Ed Sheeran has a grave at home
Ed Sheeran commented that right in the backyard of his house he built a kind of chapel, which he uses to mourn the important people in his life who have died and on some other occasions he lends to his friends to celebrate their weddings. However, the 32-year-old star also mentioned that after thinking about it, he decided that this is exactly where he wants his body to be buried in a grave after his death.
“It’s a hole that you dig in the ground with a little rock on top, so when the day comes and I die, I can go in there,” he said.
Furthermore, he explained that the reason he would like to be buried in his backyard is so that his daughters, Lyra and Jupiter, can remember him and visit him whenever they want. Although he acknowledged that the idea of him may be strange to many people, the Briton assured that he prefers people to think that he is strange then to die and not even have a will or a plan.
