Following Elon Musk’s recent viral statements denying his daughter’s identity, NBC interviewed Vivian Jenna Wilson, and she revealed some hard stuff about her father.
Everything started when, during an interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson, Musk claimed he was tricked into allowing the transition of his daughter, Vivian Jenna Willson.

The Tesla owner lamented that his daughter was “dominated” by progressive ideology to the point of wanting to change her sex and adopting the name Vivian Jenna Wilson. “I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys,” Musk said.

However, Vivian refuted Musk’s claims, asserting that he knew exactly what he was doing when he agreed to the treatment, which requires consent from both parents.
Vivian Jenna Wilson told NBC that Musk was an absent father who was cruel to her for being queer and feminine. “I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged,” Wilson said. “Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly to an audience of millions, I’m not just gonna let that slide.”

According to the 20-year-old, Musk has never been a supportive father. For as long as she can recall, he was rarely present in her life, leaving her and her siblings to be cared for by their mother or nannies.
“He was cold. He’s very quick to anger. He is uncaring and narcissistic.”
Wilson recounted that during her childhood, Musk would often berate her for expressing feminine traits, even pressuring her to deepen her voice from a young age.
“He constantly yelled at me because my voice was too high,” she recounted. “It was cruel.”

Born to Musk’s first wife, author Justine Musk, Wilson and her twin brother experienced shared custody between their parents’ homes in Los Angeles following their 2008 divorce.
Now a college student studying languages, Wilson has largely avoided the public eye. However, she gained attention in 2022 when she filed for a name change in California and publicly denounced her father where she said she will “no longer live with or wish to be related to her biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
Elon Musk’s Transphobic remarks
Musk has been public about his transphobia, saying, “I lost my son, essentially,” and blaming “the woke mind virus” for her transition. He later posted on social media that Wilson was “born gay and slightly autistic.”
Wilson responded to Musk’s remarks on the social media platform Threads, criticizing his understanding of her childhood and his general views on queer people and children.
She accused Musk of not being present in her life and of harassing her for her femininity and queerness during the limited time he was around.
In recent years, Musk has adopted increasingly conservative views, particularly opposing transgender rights. He moved his businesses out of California in protest against a law protecting the privacy of trans students and has frequently criticized trans-related medical treatments and the use of preferred pronouns.

Wilson revealed that her portrayal in a biography of Musk by Walter Isaacson was inaccurate and unfair. She stated that Isaacson never reached out to her directly, and the book misrepresented her political beliefs and referred to her by her middle name, Jenna.
Explaining her decision to speak out now, Wilson mentioned Musk’s recent comments as a catalyst. She described her father’s limited involvement in her upbringing as “abnormal” and noted her lack of understanding of his absence until she was older.

Wilson came out as gay in eighth grade and as transgender at 16. She doesn’t recall Musk’s response to her coming out as gay and wasn’t present when he learned of her transition due to the pandemic, and only relied on her mother for her support during this time.
