A Letter That Changes Everything
“Freddie Mercury was and is my father,” the letter reads. “We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and throughout the last 15 years of his life. He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem unusual or even scandalous to many. That should come as no surprise. But it never diminished his commitment to love and care for me.”

The biography reportedly includes this letter in full, and the author confirms that Mercury’s closest circle—including Queen’s band members—were aware of the girl’s existence and honored Freddie’s wish to keep it private.
In a second letter, “B” explains that her father (Freddie Mercury) entrusted her with a collection of private notebooks filled with his thoughts, emotions, and memories. “After more than three decades of lies, speculation, and distortion, it’s time to let Freddie speak,” she writes. “Those who knew about me kept the secret out of loyalty to him.”
Lesley-Ann Jones says she worked closely with “B” over the past three years to put the story together, and “B” affirms that no one pressured her to come forward—this was entirely her decision.
