The world of gastronomy almost lost one of its most charismatic chefs, Gordon Ramsay, after he suffered a bike accident that nearly cost him his life.
In a post shared on June 15, the chef strongly warned his fans about the importance of wearing a helmet when riding a bike. Ramsay appeared visibly shaken, in pain, and shocked at having survived in the video.
“It really shook me. And, honestly, I’m lucky to be here,” he emphasized. He also took the time to express his gratitude to the hospital staff for their care during the emergency.

At the end of the video, Gordon lifts his shirt to reveal a massive bruise spanning his entire torso. “It’s been a brutal week,” he said, showing visible distress.
Gordon wrote:
“Sound ON and plz Swipe through…..with #FathersDay tomorrow I have a very important message for all the dads out there…WEAR A HELMET! This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I’m doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato. I’m thankful for all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life. Have a great Father’s Day and be safe Gx”
Fans showed their love and support, also wishing him a speedy recovery.
“A ‘BIT’ BRUISED?? A BIT????” a user also commented.
