Gwyneth Paltrow just served up a breakfast spread—and possibly a side of subtle shade—toward Meghan Markle in her latest Instagram video, and fans are eating it up (pun very much intended).
On Saturday, the Iron Man actress and Goop queen posted a makeup-free, pajama-clad cooking tutorial that had all the hallmarks of effortless charm: slightly messy hair, a high kick (because why not?), and a dog kiss for good measure. The video, set to Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)”—the same song used in promos for Meghan’s new Netflix show—showed Paltrow whipping up gluten-free buttermilk biscuits, “not-so-perfectly cooked” eggs, and crispy bacon.

But here’s where things got juicy.
Fans immediately flooded the comments, convinced that Paltrow was taking a playful dig at Meghan’s With Love, Meghan lifestyle series, where the Duchess of Sussex filmed in a rented kitchen (not her own home) while showcasing her domestic skills.

“Lol isn’t it this the song they keep using in the Meghan Markle promo?” @champagnetaste672 added.
“Love this. No fake house, fake kitchen, fake hair extensions, fake friends… just your beautiful true self,” @kristinknottcurtsinger chimed in.
“THATS how to be relatable, Meghan,” @kim_de_rose, wrote.
And let’s not ignore the elephant in the Montecito neighborhood—both women live in the same ultra-exclusive California enclave. One fan cheekily suggested Paltrow should “pop by Meghan’s place to show her how it’s done.”

Wait… Is This a Feud? Or Just a Coincidence?
Paltrow has previously been diplomatic about Meghan’s career pivot, telling Vanity Fair in her April 2025 cover story: “Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
But she also admitted she hadn’t seen the trailer for With Love, Meghan, adding, “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around.”
Classic Gwyneth—equal parts zen guru and maybe a little sly.

The Verdict?
Whether intentional or not, Paltrow’s video definitely struck a chord with fans who prefer their celebs unfiltered—no rented kitchens, no perfectly staged scenes, just a real person making real (gluten-free) biscuits.
Meanwhile, Meghan’s team has yet to respond. But if history is any indication, this might just be the start of Montecito’s chilliest cold war since… well, ever.
What do you think—was Gwyneth throwing shade, or just making breakfast?
