The Smith family has been involved in numerous controversies and the most recent is Jaden Smith talking about his mother, who (in addition to instilling values and education) introduced him to something much more controversial.
The controversy for the Smiths does not end. They’ve talked openly about their open relationship, or even addressed when Will caused the biggest of conflicts at the Oscars after slapping Chris Rock. Recently, Jaden revealed that Jada Pinkett Smith found a rather peculiar technique to unite her family and, of course, the whole Internet went down on her.
Jaden Smith Confesses His Mother Introduced Him to Psychedelics
During a Psychedelic Science conference in Denver, Jaden Smith confessed that using psychedelics increased his empathy, inspired him to pursue philanthropy, and also improved his family relationships.
“I think it was my mom, actually, who was the first one to take that step for the family. It was just her for a long, long time, and then eventually it trickled down and evolved, and everybody found it in their own way,” the musician and actor revealed.
Likewise, Jaden confessed that it has been the psychedelics that have helped him get along much better with his sister, Willow Smith, and his half-brother, Trey Smith.
“Siblings can argue and fight a lot, and God knows my siblings, and I have done a lot of that in the past. But the level of love and empathy I can feel for them inside the (psychedelic) experiences and outside the experiences has been something profound and beautiful,” he continued.
Opinions on the Internet were divided between criticism and support; however, users who disagreed with a mother being the one to introduce her children to drugs dominated. Netizens assured that Jada was a terrible and irresponsible mother, although others mentioned the importance of trust between mother and children, and that Jaden’s consumption had been supervised by his own parents.
So far Jada Pinkett has not commented on the matter.
