Jennifer Lopez openly acknowledged experiencing feelings of “jealous” when other women flirt with her spouse, Ben Affleck.
During an appearance on “Today With Hoda & Jenna” on Thursday, the “On the Floor” singer participated in a game titled “This Is Me… Now, or Then?” in which she responded to questions describing her current or past self. When host Hoda Kotb inquired about her reaction to someone making advances toward her significant other, Lopez raised a paddle with the word “NOW” inscribed on it.
She then issued a playful warning to women, urging them to steer clear of Affleck, 51, stating, “Don’t play with me. Do not play with me.” When questioned about her response if someone were to flirt with the “Gone Girl” actor, she remarked:
“First of all, I’m a lover, not a fighter, but I will diplomatically and gracefully let them know to step all the way off.”
Ain’t the first time
This incident is not the first time that Lopez has demonstrated possessiveness over Affleck, whom she married in July 2022.
In the previous November, the “Let’s Get Loud” artist humorously instructed fans to “back up, bitch” when they expressed admiration for the “Good Will Hunting” actor.
A week before that incident, Lopez expressed admiration for her partner, emphasizing that he made her feel “more beautiful than” she had ever felt before.
In an interview with Vogue, she elaborated on Affleck’s influence, stating, “Ben wants me to understand my worth and know my value. I feel even more relaxed and comfortable. I’m finally at the point in my life where I love every part of myself unapologetically—my body, my voice, my choices, even my mistakes. All of it has shaped me into who I am today.”
Also in October 2032, an insider reported that Lopez feels intense jealousy over Affleck’s deep connection with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
It was also reported that Lopez finds the idea of hanging out with Garner too odd and has turned down every opportunity, but Affleck continues insisting.
