Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the “Jonas Brothers” revealed that after a check-up he was diagnosed with skin cancer, so he had to undergo an operation as part of his treatment.
Through his Instagram account, the musician shared a story in which he explained that a mole he had on his head had begun to grow, which led him to go to the doctor, who told him that the mole had actually become a malignant tumor.
The celebrity went on to mention that because of that he had to undergo an intervention to remove the tumor from his forehead so that the condition would not continue to spread to other areas of his skin.
“That’s a real little skin cancer that’s started to grow recently. And now, I have to have surgery to remove it. So, here we go,” he said.
After coming out of outpatient surgery, Kevin Jonas reassured his followers that everything had gone well and that he was ready to go home, although he will have to go for regular check-ups to be sure that the cancer has completely disappeared.
In addition, the 37-year-old musician did not miss the opportunity to alert his followers about this type of cancer and encouraged them to go to a specialist in case they notice something strange with any of their moles.
What is skin cancer?
Skin cancer is a disease in which skin cells grow abnormally and uncontrollably.
There are three types: basal cell carcinoma, which is the most common and least dangerous; squamous cell carcinoma, which is a little more aggressive; and melanoma, which is the most severe and can spread to other parts of the body.
