King Charles III presented to the world his first official portrait as the monarch of the United Kingdom, nearly two years after ascending to the throne in September 2022, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who held the English crown for over 70 years.
However, contrary to Buckingham Palace’s expectations, the unveiling of the portrait sparked a huge wave of opinions from people who were mostly shocked by the painting due to the intense red color that dominates it.
The artwork was created by Jonathan Yeo, and in it, the artist depicted King Charles III dressed in a Welsh Guards uniform, holding a sword pointed downward, with a monarch butterfly flying over his right shoulder. As soon as videos of the presentation of Charles III’s portrait went viral, conspiracy theories quickly emerged, claiming that the artwork actually hid much more than what we could see at first glance.
The hidden detail in King Charles III’s new portrait
Hundreds of people set to work as soon as the portrait of King Charles III was unveiled and, as incredible as it may seem, what they discovered truly chilled us to the bone.
Although, since the painting went viral, several people claimed that the artwork might hide some subliminal message, nothing had been confirmed until today when on X, formerly Twitter, an image that changed everything went viral.
The user @blackjorge took a photograph of the portrait, duplicated it, and then joined the images together, ultimately discovering that right between the two images, one could see what appeared to be some kind of demon or satanic entity.
The image is truly astonishing, for even if we don’t want to believe it, it is possible to see a kind of goat with long horns that is really disturbing.
Despite this strange coincidence, the artist explained that he used a single color in the painting to try to “minimize visual distractions and allow people to connect with the human being underneath.”
Additionally, he emphasized that the true meaning behind the piece is related to metamorphosis, which is why he decided to include the monarch butterfly flying near the king.
