Lindsay Lohan has been living her best in the past couple of years after such a turbulent and controversial life. She decided to leave everything and move to Dubai to start over. It didn’t take long for her to find that fresh start she was looking for and soon met her now husband, the businessman Bader Shammas.
Now the couple have shared the exciting news that they’ve welcomed their bundle of joy, a baby boy named Luai. The Arabic name means “shield or protector,” a beautiful and fitting name for this new stage in the life of the iconic actress and singer.
Reps of the couple confirmed the happy news to People Magazine this Monday, although they didn’t mention the exact date of birth of baby Luai. “Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love,” read the statement.
The 36-year-old actress had revealed over the years her dream of becoming a mother, so she didn’t take long to announce her pregnancy to her fans on social media. Over the past months, she’s excitedly spoken about motherhood: “I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom.”
She even shared once how her screen mom, Jamie Lee Curtis would share some tips and encouragement during her pregnancy and also how to merge her life as a mom and her career (they both were working on the long-awaited sequel to Freaky Friday): “I spoke to Jamie Lee Curtis recently, and she was like, ‘You just bring the baby with you, and everything will be fine.'”
Of course, Lindsay’s mom has also shown her excitement over welcoming a new grandson. Dina Lohan spoke to the press about Lindsay’s lifetime wish to become a mom: “Lindsay has always loved kids. We have a big family, so she’s always wanted children. And she’s so maternal.”
Dina added that this baby came at a perfect time to light up the lives of Lindsay and Bader: “It’s the right time for her and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they’re just so happy. They’re just really happy and ready.”
