It was in 2016 when the famous boy band, One Direction, announced its hiatus. Before that, they became one of the best-selling boy groups of all time.
Let’s remember that the popular blog, Tumblr, was very frequented at the time. During that period, the “Larry Stylinson” conspiracy theory emerged. And even though it happened a long time ago, Louis Tomlinson is still being asked about it.

The theory sustained that Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, whose names were blended as “Larry Stylinson,” had been closeted by their management company, Modest Management.
Both Harry and Louis turned down the rumors of the so-called ‘beard relationship’ several times. As Louis once told The Sun, it first came around when he was dating Eleanor Calder, and he said he felt it was quite disrespectful towards her.
But after being asked about it for 14 years, Louis is finally fed up: “I realized this so many years ago, there’s nothing I can say or do to dispel the believers of that conspiracy. They are so intertwined with what they believe to be the truth now that they won’t actually see the truth for what it is,” he said in an interview for G1.
“It does irritate me a little bit but it’s just the nature of the job I suppose. There are times… when it gets far too personal within that whole space. I have my son, Freddie, who is the most important person in my life. And occasionally… it’s really unfair,” he responded.
The “ship” has become the subject of harassment as erotic slash fiction with Larry exists, stories, fan art and even TV and movie references. The harassment extended to include the mother of Tomlinson’s child. Larry Stylinson is the most reblogged ship on Tumblr.

Tomlinson has still worked on his musical career. He released “Just Hold On” with Steve Aoki as a debut solo single in December 2016. It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and was certified platinum in the UK. In 2017, he released “Back to You” with American singer Bebe Rexha and “Miss You.”
On Spotify, the number of monthly listeners among artists differs quite a bit. Harry Styles has about 58.2 million. They are followed by Zayn Malik (27.3 million), Niall Horan (17.3 million), Liam Payne (5.7 million), and Louis (2.9 million).”
