After much speculation, Colombian singer Maluma finally announced during one of his Don Juan Tour shows in Washington, DC, that he’s expecting a baby with his girlfriend Susana Gomez.
Pregnancy rumors began a few days ago after Maluma’s girlfriend suspiciously covered her abdomen in recent photos that the singer shared on his social networks, something she had not done before. To these rumors was added an alleged statement from a source close to Maluma, who confirmed to the Spanish podcast Mamarazzi, that the interpreter would become a father in 2024, but that he still wanted to keep it a secret.
“Maluma is going to be a father this 2024; his partner Susana Gomez is pregnant, and you can already start to see her belly. They are in a very low profile because they wanted to keep it a secret,” said Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez. It was probably because of these statements that Maluma decided to break the news, and what better place than at a concert and in front of his fans, to clear up any doubts about what had been rumored.
How Did Maluma Break the News?
So, after much speculation, the 29-year-old Colombian singer began by projecting a video on the stage screens, wherein the first minutes, the couple is observed on vacation, later it is seen that they are in a clinic where Susana is undergoing an ultrasound.
At all times, Maluma kept his back to the audience and watched the video very excitedly, and after showing the baby on the monitor, the singer began to cry with emotion as his fans screamed with excitement. And that’s not all, because, at the end of the video, the gender revelation was shown, where the entire screen was painted pink, revealing that it will be a girl who is on the way.
In addition to the video, Maluma confirmed the big news on his Instagram account where he had previously written that he would be sharing information at his Washington show.

“Today is one of the most special moments of my life” and “I want to broadcast it live over here at our Washington show. You guys have been around since the beginning and deserve to know about it too!,” he wrote in an Instagram story.
Maluma and Susana Gomez confirmed their relationship in August 2021, when the singer shared a blurry photograph in which he was seen hugging the architect, next to a Christmas tree.
