Hollywood is in mourning. Shelley Duvall, the actress who played Wendy Torrance, the wife of Jack Nicholson’s character in ‘The Shining,’ has died at 75.
The news was confirmed by her partner Dan Gilroy, who revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the actress passed away at her home in Blanco, Texas, United States.

In an emotional message, Gilroy bid farewell to the actress, expressing:
“My dear, sweet, and wonderful life companion and friend has left us. She has suffered too much lately, now she is free. Fly high, beautiful Shelley.”

It is known that Shelley Duvall died in her sleep due to complications from diabetes, which she had suffered from for some time.

However, that was not the only ailment that plagued the actress. In her last public appearance in 2016, she revealed on the Dr. Phill show that she suffered from mental disorders.
