First, it was Brad Pitt’s turn, and now Tom Cruise’s. After 10 years of estrangement, it seems that Suri, Tom’s youngest daughter, has decided to take off her father’s surname.
The news was released after a few days ago the young woman attended her graduation ceremony in New York and decided not to use the last name of the “Mission Impossible” actor.
The young woman graduated from the “La Guardia” school, which is an institute specializing in performing arts and music, and throughout the ceremony, she was accompanied by her proud mother, Katie Holmes.
The moment was worked on in a video that went viral on social networks, in which Suri Cruise appears dressed in a graduation cap and gown, and at the time of being called to pick up her diploma she is named Suri Noelle.
The separation of Tom Cruise and his daughter Suri
Tom Cruise has not been seen publicly with his daughter Suri for 10 years and although the reasons for their separation are not completely clear, it is believed that their estrangement could be related to their participation in the Church of Scientology.

Suri’s mother, Katie Holmes, is known to have left the church when she divorced Cruise in 2012 and took legal action to obtain parental rights over her daughter to prevent the little girl from having a relationship with her father’s beliefs.
According to “The World,” Tom Cruise was so obsessed with Scientology that he wanted his daughter to join the “Sea Organization,” a branch of the church in which children are educated under military discipline.
This immediately aroused Holmes’ alarm, who had his daughter removed not only from her but from the world in general, to establish relationships only with people who belonged to the same religion.
