“My Safety is At Risk”: Sydney Sweeney Speaks Out Against Paparazzi Harassment

In an interview with Glamour magazine, the actress shared disturbing moments she’s faced with paparazzi gathering outside her Florida home, even harassing her family. “They shouted to my family, ‘If you just tell her to come outside in a bikini, I’ll take some pictures and leave you alone.”
She also denied rumors that she invites the paparazzi. “Why would I call them to my house when my baby cousins and family are here? Why would I ever want that?”

Sweeney also expressed confusion about the constant harassment from paparazzi, some of whom have told her she can call them anytime. This ongoing invasion has not only affected her but also her family. “I have photos of guys in kayaks hiding in bushes on the oceanfront. They showed up at 8 a.m. and stayed until 4 p.m. I should be able to feel safe in my own home,” she said.
“My safety is genuinely at risk. When those photos get out, everyone knows where I am,” she added. “Now there are boats going by, and I hear people say, ‘That’s Sydney Sweeney’s house.’ It’s turned into a star tour in my own front yard.”

Despite these unsettling experiences, Sweeney remains optimistic about the positive side of her fame. She shared that she’s received messages from fans thanking her for helping them feel more confident and comfortable in their own bodies.
