Taylor Swift had a very special moment supporting Travis Kelce at Super Bowl 58 which took place last Sunday in Las Vegas. The Kansas City Chiefs became a new dynasty within the NFL by defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22, but, although you may not believe it, millions of people believe that everything is a ‘set up’ heading into the presidential elections in 2024 in the United States.
Taylor Swift and a New Conspiracy Theory
After the Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl, thousands of Republican followers assured on social networks that the victory of Travis Kelce (the singer’s boyfriend) was part of a campaign to promote the re-election of Joe Biden. In a fact that is incredible, according to information from the New York Times, a survey from Monmouth University in New Jersey indicates that 18% of Americans believe that there is “a covert government effort” for Swift to help Biden’s re-election in a possible race against Donald Trump.
The survey was released this Wednesday and among other results, it also confirmed that 71% of the people who believe that the government is using Taylor Swift to help Biden are Republicans. By the way, 83% of people who support this conspiracy theory said they would probably vote for Trump in November.
The Taylor Swift Effect on Politics
Last weekend, Donald Trump claimed that Taylor Swift would be disloyal if she supported Joe Biden. The mogul gave that statement in response to the conspiracy theory that we have explained regarding the singer and even the NFL agreeing to favor the Democratic Party.
“There is no way she (Swift) could endorse cheater Joe Biden. “She would never be disloyal to the man who made her so much money.”
Trump claimed that Swift and other artists benefited from the Music Modernization Act, which helped artists more easily earn royalties and licensing fees through streaming services and was passed during his presidency. It’s important to remember that Taylor endorsed Biden in the 2020 race, although she has yet to publicly endorse anyone in the last campaign.
