It seems like Travis Barker can’t catch a break without the internet jumping on him. This time, the Blink-182 drummer is in the middle of a scandal over something as common (and awkward) as liking a post on Instagram.
The issue? He hit “like” on a post that featured his son Landon, but also included several bikini photos of his girlfriend, Skyla Sanders. And as expected, people noticed within minutes—and they didn’t let it slide.

It all started when 20-year-old Skyla shared a photo carousel on June 29. Among the images: one of her in a bikini lying on a bed, another in black lingerie with stockings and heels, and two sweet ones with Landon, who’s 21.
All seemed normal… but Travis’ little heart icon set off a wave of comments ranging from disgust to sarcasm. Was it an innocent double-tap or an uncomfortable slip? While some called the musician “gross,” others defended him as a dad just showing support for his son.
Skyla Sanders, in case you don’t know, is the daughter of director Rupert Sanders and model Liberty Ross. She’s been in a relationship with Landon Barker for a few months now—and he hasn’t been shy about showing it off on social media. In fact, he even got her name (“Skyla”) tattooed on his wrist. Yeah, it’s serious.
In her June post, Skyla uploaded several vacation pics. Her sexy outfits and eye-catching poses didn’t go unnoticed—by fans or by Travis Barker himself. And even though Landon appears in two of the photos, many interpreted the drummer’s like as out of place, since the clear focus of the post was Skyla.
Reddit comments exploded. Some users didn’t hold back:
“Gross!”
“This man has no shame.”
“That’s not creepy at all…” (sarcastically)
Others took a softer approach:
“Maybe he liked it because his son was in it too.”
A few even defended Travis:
“Some dads like everything their kids or their kids’ friends post. It’s not that weird.”
And yes, that may be true. Apparently, Travis doesn’t even follow Skyla on Instagram, and his like only appeared on this post (well, and one earlier post where Landon also appeared).
Still, the visual context was enough for the internet to decide: not okay.
