Trump Posts Video Hitting Bruce Springsteen With Golf Ball—Because Why Not

Trump posts video hitting bruce springsteen with golf ball—because why not

In a move that somehow feels both shocking and completely predictable, President Donald Trump posted a doctored video to Truth Social and X this week that shows him hitting Bruce Springsteen with a golf ball. No, not literally — just a meme. But also: yes, literally. It happened.

The video stitches together two clips: one of Trump swinging a golf club, and another of 75-year-old Springsteen tripping and falling onstage during a concert. In this reimagined Trumpian universe, the president lands the perfect shot, sending the Boss flying.

The clip arrives just days after Springsteen slammed Trump from the stage in Manchester, calling his administration “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.” Trump, a man known for his restraint and grace under pressure (just kidding), responded by escalating their feud in the most juvenile way imaginable: meme warfare.

Trump vs. Bruce Springsteen: The President Claps Back at the Boss

Springsteen, a lifelong Democrat and working-class icon, opened his European tour last week by torching Trump’s presidency in front of thousands.

“The America I love, the America I’ve written about, is in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” he said.

He called Trump “unfit” and accused his government of “abandoning the world’s poorest children to sickness and death” while taking “sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers.”

Trump responded on Truth Social by calling Springsteen “overrated,” “not a talented guy,” and — in a phrase no one asked for — a “dried out prune of a rocker.” He also attacked his physical appearance, writing, “His skin is all atrophied.”

And because no Trump feud is complete without collateral damage, he dragged Beyoncé and Kamala Harris into it too — suggesting Springsteen and Beyoncé should be investigated for possibly making illegal campaign contributions by supporting Harris during the last election.

Meme First, Policy Later

Trump, who is currently president, seems to have ample time to create and post memes attacking celebrities who insult him.

He also found time to go after Taylor Swift this week, claiming she’s “no longer hot” ever since he publicly said he hated her. This followed Swift’s endorsement of Harris and a wave of public criticism from musicians like Neil Young and Eddie Vedder.

Vedder, speaking at a show in Pittsburgh, said Trump’s response to Springsteen was nothing but “personal attacks and threats.” Young added:

“Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza.”

Bruce Springsteen Played “Born to Run,” Trump Logged On

There’s something almost poetic about a sitting president engaging in meme warfare against a rock legend during a global crisis. Trump may be Commander-in-Chief, but when it comes to celebrity feuds, he’s still just a guy on the internet — petty, performative, and endlessly online.

Springsteen played the hits. Trump posted through it.
