Brody Jenner got married in Malibu this weekend—but two of the most famous names in the family didn’t show.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner were noticeably absent from their half-brother’s wedding to pro surfer Tia Blanco, and according to multiple reports, their decision to skip the event had less to do with schedules—and more to do with long-standing family tension.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner Didn’t Show Up to Brody’s Wedding—and Family History Explains Everything

Sources told The U.S. Sun that bad blood between Kris Jenner and Brody’s mom, Linda Thompson, has “spilled over to the kids” and caused friction for years.
“Linda and Kris have not gotten along in decades,” the insider said, adding that Brody still resents Kris—and often blames her for past family issues.
That resentment reportedly made it hard for him to fully connect with Kendall and Kylie, despite their efforts.
“When the siblings were trying to build relationships, Brody would often fall back into this narrative of blaming Kris for everything,” the source explained.

Insiders also claimed that while Kendall has made an effort to stay close to Caitlyn Jenner’s side of the family, Kylie has remained firmly planted in the Kardashian camp.
“Kylie has admitted to friends she just feels like a stranger in the Jenner family unit,” a source told The Sun. “She feels her place is as part of the Kardashians.”
The emotional distance was reportedly strong enough to make the sisters skip the ceremony—despite it being held just down the coast at Linda Thompson’s Malibu home.

A separate source tried to downplay the tension, telling TMZ that Kendall and Kylie didn’t want to steal the spotlight from Brody and Blanco. In other words: they stayed home out of respect. Still, fans weren’t convinced—and social media was quick to question whether the absence was more about old wounds than humble intentions.
Brody himself has spoken about his distant-but-friendly relationship with the Jenner sisters. On The Viall Files podcast in January, he said:
“I love them all to death. I just don’t see them.”
“If Kylie or Kendall were to call me right now, I would walk out of this room and pick up the phone. I would be there for them.”

Despite the missing RSVPs, Brody celebrated his new chapter with joy, writing on Instagram Stories:
“We had the best time celebrating our love… We felt so much love and couldn’t be more grateful.”
