After the controversial statements that Jada Pinkett has been making about her relationship with Will Smith, while promoting her book Worthy, both the actor and their children remained silent. However, it was Will Smith who spoke first out about it via a public letter to Jada, saying he “supported and applauded” her, adding:
“If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would have embraced you more. I’ll start now. Welcome to the author’s club. I love you infinitely. Now go get some Merlot and get some rest.”
This led to rumors that maybe he had not given statements because he was upset with what Jada was going to publish in his book, but contrary to that, he supports what the actress wrote about their relationship as a couple.
But What Do Will Smith and Jada Pinkett’s Kids Have to Say?
Jada and Will have two children, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22. And so far, neither had spoken out about their mother’s revealing statements directly involving their dad. It was a source close to the family who made known the feelings of the children of a couple of actors and said that Willow and Jaden “feel bad for their father” for everything that has been made public.
“They know he’s been through a lot lately, and this doesn’t help,” the source says of Smith’s kids, which also includes Trey Smith, whom Will shares with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino. “They wish some of their family’s private affairs remained private.”
The same source noted that Will has been trying to keep busy and has been hanging out with friends and his kids, amid Jada’s press tour to promote her new book and taking the opportunity to spill several revelations about her private life with the actor.
“He’s trying not to let any outside noise get to him,” they continued. “Will loves Jada and feels he has always had her back and always will. He has been trying to be supportive and at the same time take care of himself.”
With what the source close to the family said, we know that the kids were the only ones who didn’t agree with their mom airing private matters of her and their dad; however, Will Smith seems to be okay with it and supports her now in her facet as an author, as the actor rightly said.
