On season 6 of Love is Blind, new contestants come on to the show to follow an unpredictable path… are looks stronger than words? For Jimmy, an interesting contestant in the show, maybe they are.
Love is Blind is a reality dating series on Netflix known for revolutionizing romance on the screen. Singles embark on a unique journey to find love without ever seeing each other, separated through walls and communicating only through “pods”. This creates a sense of excitement and unbiased opinion when you are talking to the person assigned to you since you are not basing on their looks, but their opinions, values, and beliefs, exploring communication and emotional connections.
In this new season, we meet the contestants Chelsea and Jimmy, who talk between these pods until they find themselves falling in love with each other each day that goes by. In one of their conversations, Chelsea said to Jimmy that people often told her she resembled Megan Fox. For this, Jimmy got excited, he fixated on that thought and decided he wanted to be with her no matter what.
Time goes by and at the moment of truth, when Chelsea chooses Jimmy among the other contestants for them to meet in real life and decide if they want to be together as a couple, Jimmy notices that Chelsea does not look like Megan Fox, not one bit. His reaction was priceless, and even though at the moment he mentioned how gorgeous she was, millions of people all around the world got to watch how he later said between laughs: “She definitely lied to me on how she looks”.

This does not stop Chelsea and Jimmy from being together as a couple. Still, now that they are in a relationship, issues are starting to arise between them, specifically in their personality. Traits and thoughts that hadn’t come up when they were talking to each other on the show: they fight about their love language, which friendships Chelsea is not comfortable with, Jimmy saying that Chelsea was starting to be “clingy”, among other topics.
