If your relationship ended in March, it wasn’t you or your partner, it was this month’s fault… Or so the couple theory claims.
We’ll explain, but without crying.
It is strange to imagine that coming out of February, which is a month characterized by being one of “love and friendship”, there is suddenly such a sudden and sad turn.
What is couples theory in March all about?
According to this theory, March is the worst enemy of relationships, as there have been the highest number of breakups compared to other months, especially due to infidelity.
That’s why several social media users are warning couples to take precautions to “survive” this complicated period.

Experts Uphold Couples Theory in March
In 2016, sociologists Julie Brines and Brian Serafini of the University of Washington conducted a study in which they found that people are more likely to be unfaithful to their partners in March.
This is due to the onset of spring in several parts of the world, which in turn causes the body to secrete hormones that prompt it to release more, although it should be noted that this study was carried out in the United States, which would leave countries in the Southern Hemisphere, such as Argentina, out of this theory.
Instead of spring, autumn begins in this month and well, the opposite happens: people naturally tend to hide, shelter and avoid interacting with others.
So if you ended your relationship in March and you’re from one of these nations, then there’s no way we can help! (wink, wink).
But why are there more infidelities in March?
According to experts, during the spring, humans secrete more serotonin, also known as the happiness hormone, greatly decreasing melatonin, which results in a greater need for social interaction.
For his part, Antonio de Dios, head of Psychology at the Quirón Marbella Hospital, in Spain, told El Confidencial about this theory that, “spring is the awakening of life, which in human beings translates into greater openness to communication, love and sexuality.”
“There is an increase in activity, as there is more energy, while the increase in light and temperature means that people spend more time away from home and use a lighter and more casual wardrobe,” he explained.

The specialist also said that the aspects related to this season, such as flowering, colors and even pollination, cause “the blood to be altered”, causing many of the neurotransmitters and hormones to become out of balance.
However, not everything has to happen this way, as he assures that excess energy could have a “rebound effect”, where people experience tiredness, fatigue, insomnia and even difficulty carrying out their daily activities.
So now you know, in March you have to be careful! otherwise we could be a victim to the couples theory in March…
