Daniel Radcliffe arrived at the ceremony at the David H. Koch Theater in New York’s Lincoln Center unaware that he would leave with his first Tony Award in his hands.
During his acceptance speech, the 34-year-old actor thanked his co-stars for their support and at the same time acknowledged that his performance in the musical has been one of the best experiences of his life.
“I’m going to talk quickly and try not to cry. This has been one of the best experiences of my life. It has been incredible. It’s an honor to be on stage with all of you every night”
There is no doubt that we could not be prouder of Daniel, who after the enormous success he had in Harry Potter has not stopped working to prove that his talent transcends the screen and that what began with his performance in the magical saga was actually just a small taste of the great things he is destined for.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Daniel has acted on Broadway, as he has also done so in the past in plays such as “The Lifespan of a Fact”, “The Cripple of Inishmaan”, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and “Equus”.
