Things got a little spicy during the press conference for the film “Queer” held at the Venice Film Festival, when it was questioned whether there was a possibility of the existence of a gay James Bond.
‘Queer’ Premiered in Venice Film Festival
Luca Guadagnino’s latest film, “Queer,” is an adaptation of William S. Burroughs’ novel of the same name. The film stars Daniel Craig as William Lee, an American expat in 1950s Mexico City who becomes obsessed with a young male student.

Guadagnino has described the film as his most personal project yet, reflecting his long-standing admiration for Burroughs’ work.
“Queer” premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2024. The film has generated significant buzz, particularly for its explicit erotic scenes and the raw, vulnerable performance by Craig.
Guadagnino and Craig discussed the film’s themes of intimacy and fulfillment during the festival, highlighting the challenges and rewards of bringing such a candid story to the screen.

Daniel Craig, extremely well known for his performance as James Bond in the most recent release was questioned during the press conference if he thinks there could ever be a “gay James Bond,” but Luca Guadagnino came to the rescue and now we’re making fanfictions about it.

“Guys, let’s be adults in the room for a second,” Guadagnino said almost instantly, “There is no way around the fact that nobody could ever know James Bond’s desires. Period. The important thing is that he does his missions properly.”
But don’t worry because true LGBT James Bond fans have already taken care of making these kinds of stories about a gay James Bond.
