We’re not done with ‘Barbie‘ universe and neither is Greta Gerwig. Since the highly 2023 Barbie success, some of us are expecting a Ken movie and we’re not so far from a delulu world.
Greta Gerwig Confesses That There is a Possibility of Developing a Ken Movie
After the worldwide success of Barbie’s release and the hype it caused, there could be a possibility of developing a film that follows Ken’s story after some statements by Greta Gerwig.
In an interview for “60 Minutes”, a correspondent questioned the director of ‘Barbie’ about whether there was any possibility of developing a Ken movie. And although she made it clear that she could not comment much on the matter, she did mention that the idea would not be completely ruled out.

“I can’t comment on that. I mean the truth is… I guess we’ll see.”

Those of us who were true fans would love to see more of the fragile masculinity and jokes that Ryan Gosling gave us on the big screen.
“I mean, the truth is, you know — I guess we’ll see,” Greta G. said with a smile.
Greta Gerwig explained that there is a lot of material that could be used for a Ken movie.
“We had way too much material for Ken. We would write, and write, and write,” said Gerwig.
The director of ‘Barbie’ has also mentioned that since the script for the acclaimed film released in 2023, Ryan Gosling was already in mind to play Ken.
She even shared that she and Noah Baumbach had so many ideas for Ken by the end of the film that they couldn’t all be included in the script.
While this isn’t a reality yet and we’ve just been given hope for the future after such a huge success, we know how difficult it is to replicate a hit like that, but it’s not impossible, and with Greta as director literally anything is possible.
