Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling, accusing them of cyberbullying.
Also, Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is also being investigated as part of the case.
The lawsuit, filed in France, targets X (formerly Twitter), which allows for legal action against unknown individuals.

This approach ensures that the investigation can extend to anyone who may have posted hateful messages under pseudonyms, according to Khelif’s lawyer, Nabil Boudi, based in Paris.

Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling’s Comments
The controversy began when Elon Musk responded to a tweet stating, “Men don’t belong in women’s sports,” by agreeing with the sentiment, tweeting “absolutely.”

Meanwhile, J.K. Rowling made claims that Khelif was a biological man competing against women, further fueling the backlash.
Rowling wrote: “Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment, enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered.”

Imane Khelif Files Lawsuit Against Cyberbullying
Recently, Khelif filed a lawsuit in Paris for aggravated cyberbullying, accusing those responsible of fueling a “misogynistic, racist, and sexist campaign” against her.
Her lawyer, Me Nabil Boudi, issued a press release stating, “After winning a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, boxer Imane Khelif has decided to embark on a new fight: one for justice, dignity, and honor.”
The legal complaint focuses on “acts of aggravated cyberbullying” and aims to combat “online hate.”
