On January 5, 1941, a person was born who would change the world with his magic, imagination, and creativity, but above all, the most human side of him. Yes, we are talking about Hayao Miyazaki. A lover of art and with a natural talent, he became one of the most recognized directors in the industry, capturing the entire essence and part of his life in each of his films.
Since he was a child he developed an enormous fascination with airplanes, something that is not surprising, since his childhood was marked by the Second World War, in addition to his father being the director of a company dedicated to combat aircraft. This is how Hayao Miyazaki went from creating mangas to developing animated flying machines in great films, which today are recognized as works of art, since, without focusing on the fabulous plots, it should be noted that, at least 90 percent, are drawn by hand.
The creator of Studio Ghibli gives us in his films a unique mix of visual poetry, overflowing imagination, as well as a deep connection with nature and the human condition. Through endearing characters, he faces ethical and moral questions. Empathy and compassion are core values, while conflicts are often resolved through understanding, acceptance, and finding a harmonious balance. And the best thing is that it is not only the stories that detonate a bomb of emotions in us, but they also give us memorable phrases, which are worth always keeping in mind, since they feel like a cuddle even in the worst moments…
