On June 28, Netflix will premiere the new romantic comedy no one expected but everyone now wants to see: ‘A Family Affair,’ a film that will show Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman as we’ve never seen them before.
Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman to Star in ‘A Family Affair’
This film is directed by Richard Lagravenese, known for other great movies like ‘Freedom Writers’ with Patrick Dempsey and ‘P.S. I Love You,’ among others. It was written by Carrie Solomon, who has collaborated on several major Hollywood productions.
The cast of ‘A Family Affair’ includes Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman (who have previously worked together in the 2012 drama film ‘The Paperboy’). Additionally, the cast features Joey King from ‘The Kissing Booth.’

The story of this delightful romantic comedy revolves around the quirky and spontaneous relationship between Chris Cole (Zac Efron), an actor at the peak of his career, and Brooke Hardwood. However, the trailer reveals a crucial detail: Brooke’s daughter, Zara Ford (Joey King), was Chris Cole’s former agent who quit because she hates him.
“I know him very well. He’s self-absorbed and selfish,” Zara (Joey King) says in the trailer. “He’s going to hurt her, and I’ll have to kill him.”
Now, the three are entangled in a story of love, hate, revenge, and lots of comedy in what seems to be the romantic movie of the year.
