This is not a meme: Barbenheimer went from fiction to become a real movie, and the best thing is that we already have some details. Let’s remember that this concept arose due to the release of two great films such as Barbie and Oppenheimer; however, someone thought it would be a good idea to take it to the big screen.
It was Charles Band, the leader of the independent production company Full Moon Features, who confirmed this story, but not as we would imagine it or what the title suggests. According to the filmmaker, it will be a “wild” comedy, and will begin filming in September 2023, with the possibility of a Christmas release on Amazon Prime Video and the streaming service offered by Full Moon: FullMoonFeatures.com.
What Will Barbenheimer Be About?
While there aren’t as many details about who wrote or who will direct this story that seemed like a simple meme, we already know a little bit of what the plot will be about:
“Deep in the depths of Dollsville, a group of fed-up dolls, led by the brilliant Dr. Barbenheimer, build an atomic bomb – their mission? To bring down the patriarchy once and for all! But as the battle of the sexes escalates, will Barbenheimer and her bevy of beauties end up blowing up more than they bargained for? Comedy, drama, action, and Armageddon erupt in Full Moon’s latest crazy fantasy movie ‘BARBENHEIMER’!” reads the official description.

What Is Full Moon?
Full Moon is a production company that was born in 1989 and is mainly known for its Puppet Master movie saga. It was responsible for launching Corona Zombies, the first film that addressed the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic, but with jokes about how people reacted, for example, the “crazy” purchases of toilet paper.
Although it seemed original, some fans realized that it was a “recycling” of Cannibal Apocalypse, by Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragasso, which has been considered one of the worst films in history.
Charles Band will attend the Sitges Film Festival, to be held in Catalonia from October 5 to 15, which is expected to be the venue where several doubts about Barbenheimer will be cleared up. We wouldn’t be surprised if it is released before the end of the year, after all, Corona Zombies was filmed in less than a month…
