Chris Noth, the actor that plays Mr. Big on ‘Sex & the City’, has been accused of sexual assault by two different women who spoke to the Hollywood Reporter.
According to both women, who contacted the publication separately, the actor assaulted them more than 15 years ago with a decade apart from the events.
In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, Noth said that the allegations are “categorically false” and argued that both encounters “were consensual”.
“It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women”, he said.
The women, who used the pseudonyms of Zoe and Lily, told the publication that they met Noth in different circumstances but both ended being abused by the actor.
Zoe met Noth in 2004 at an entry-level entertainment job when she was 22 and Chris 49. After several flirtatious encounters at work, Noth invited her to the pool at her apartment complex.
She claims that after the assault, she had to go to Cedars-Sanai hospital to get some stitches but refused to tell the police who did that to her because she feared repercussions.
Lilly, on the other hand, met the actor when she was 25 and him 60 at the now-closed New York nightclub No. 8, where she worked as a server.
After a night of talking about her career plans, Noth took advantage and assaulted her. After that night, the actor kept texting her asking if she enjoyed the night, and according to the text to which The Hollywood Reporter had access, she told him that she had “felt slightly used”.
Both women decided to talk about their experiences now that Noth has resurfaced in public thanks to the release of “And Just like that…”, a “Sex & City” revival from HBO Max.
