Wish: The Power of Wishes was the great bet that Disney made to celebrate its 100th anniversary, a story full of magic, but above all of winks and hidden references to other films that we love and have become great classics.
And although some were too obvious, there are many others that, only if you are very observant and, also, a true Disney fan, will you be able to notice.
If you have already seen the movie and you couldn’t find all the Easter eggs, don’t worry, because below we will reveal all the references that are hidden in the film. Before reading this note, we warn you that you may find several spoilers, so we recommend reading it right after having seen Wish.
Snow White’s 7 Dwarfs
Let’s start with one of the easiest. If while you were watching Wish Asha’s group of friends seemed familiar to you, it’s because you probably saw Snow White. Each friend is a nod to seven dwarfs: Darío is Tontin; Safi refers to Sneeze; Simon is undoubtedly Sleepy; Hal reminds us of Feliz; Bazeema represents Shy; Dahlia would be Wise and finally, the most obvious, Gabo, the angriest, would be Grumpy.
Magnificent a Walking Wink

Magnificent is a walking reference to several Disney villains. Firstly, her magic is green, the same color as Maleficent’s in ‘Sleeping Beauty’, secondly, there is a part of the film in which we can see an apple with green liquid in the castle that reminds us of Snow White’s poisoned apple. Other references could be when Magnificent blows up the books recreating the iconic Merlin scene in ‘The Sword in the Stone’.
Asha…Fairy Godmother

In one part of the film, Asha has to hide to leave the city, and to do so she decides to put on a cape that reminds us of the one the Fairy Godmother wears in Cinderella.
Peter Pan Appears More Than Once

We were all surprised when towards the end of the movie Peter Pan suddenly appears in the kingdom and although his participation didn’t make much sense, that is not the only time Peter is around. There is a part in which Magnifico destroys several wishes to steal his power and in one moment you can see the silhouette of Peter Pan flying.
The Post-credits Scene

Yes, Wish, the Power of Wishes, has a post-credits scene and as if all the references in the film were not enough, Disney says goodbye to us with one more. In the last scene, we can see Asha’s grandfather, who coincidentally also turns 100, playing with his guitar a melody that we all know, ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’, a song that belongs to ‘Pinocchio’ and that became the Disney theme song.
