Last weekend during the DC event, the new trailer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman was leaked sparking some theories about a possible appearance from the Joker. The theory claims, it will only be a small participation to introduce a sequel. However, it would not be Joaquin Phoenix who plays the villain but Kristen Stewart(?)
Recently, an online campaign proposed to reunite both protagonists of the Twilight saga, choosing Stewart as the archenemy of the superhero played by Robert Pattinson. The outlet, Variety, has asked the interpreter what she thought about it, and her answer about who would be the first female Joker in the movies has been quite suggestive.
“Let’s do something new. I love the energy behind that. It’s really been done so well. I feel like, maybe, we don’t traipse over, but I love that gusto. Let’s figure something else out. I’m totally down to play a freaky, scary person,” the Twilight actress indicated although it’s not a definite “no.”

Although it seems unlikely that Joker will be present in this first installment directed by Matt Reeves, everything points to the fact that the film will have certain elements that will serve to introduce him and pave the way for his appearance in the second installment of the saga.
When does The Batman premiere?
The movie has an amazing cast starring Robert Pattinson as Batman, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrel as the Penguin, and Paul Dano as Enigma. The film will hit theaters in March 2022. Europa Press.
