Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis was one of the firsts celebrities to speak for Ukraine by showing off a ribbon supporting refugees on the Oscars red carpet.

2021′s Academy Award winner for supporting actress, Youn Yuh-jung, also sported a blue ribbon supporting refugees.

Will Packer
During an interview with Variety’s Marc Malkin, producer Will Packer confirmed that the ceremony would acknowledge the people of Ukraine. “We certainly have to talk about the tumultuous times that we’re living right now and the people of Ukraine”, Packer said. “When you’ll watch [the ceremony], you’ll see”.
Diane Warren

American award-winning songwriter, musician, and record producer, Diane Warren, also wore a blue ribbon to show her support for the people of Ukraine.
Jason Momoa

Actor Jason Momoa arrived with a silk scarf whose colors alluded to the Ukrainian flag.
Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch arrived wearing a pin of Ukraine’s flag. The English actor has been one of the celebrities who has constantly showed his support for the country.
During the BAFTAs, Cumberbatch urged his Hollywood peers to help Ukrainian civilians that have fled from their homes.
“We need to donate,” the Oscar nominee told Sky News on the red carpet. “We need to push our politicians to continue to create some kind of a refugee […] for the people that are suffering. Everyone needs to do as much as they can. I think already today the news has broke that there’s been a record number of people volunteering to take people into their homes. I hope to be part of that myself.”
Paolo Sorrentino

Academy Award winner director, Paolo Sorrentino, alongside The Hand of God’s actors, Luisa Ranieri and Filippo Scotti, arrived wearing a blue ribbon. The director and protagonists of the nominated film for ‘Best International Feature Film’, were accompanied by Sorrentino’s wife, who also wore the ribbon with the words ‘I am with the Ukrainian refugees’.
Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson, who recently received the ‘Honorary Academy Award’ of 2022, was also one of the stars that donned the blue ribbon in support of Ukraine.
Guillermo del Toro
Academy award winner, Guillermo del Toro, shared on his Twitter a selfie inside the Dolby Theater with the ‘I am with the Ukrainian refugees’ ribbon.
Francis Ford Coppola
After the homage made to The Godfather, the veteran director and Academy Award winner, Francis Ford Coppola used the opportunity to address the situation regarding Ukraine. “Viva Ukraine” Coppola mentioned.
While being awarded at the ICG Publicist’s Guild awards luncheon, the legendary director made a plea for the Russian invasion of Ukraine to end.
“I confess I met Putin, and I met Zelenskyy who is really a show business guy, his whole government, all of them are actors,” Coppola said during his acceptance speech. “And I know of what I speak when I say, if one word would just be said, one word with the force of meaning: Stop”.
