Awards season continues, crowning the best in music, film, and television. After the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards, which awarded Oppenheimer, by director Christopher Nolan, as the best film of their respective awards, and although there is a long way to go before the season ends, the world of entertainment and fans of the seventh they already set their eyes on the main course: the Oscars.
Although there are still about two months left until the ceremony is held, considered by the entire industry to be the most important film award, this awards season has set the thermometer for what could be the final result for the Oscars. Starting as clear favorites: Oppenheimer; Poor Things, by Yorgos Lanthimos; Those who Remain, by Alexander Payne, and the French Anatomy of a Fall, by Justine Triet. Although there are still awards to be given, the race for the most important film award is about to begin.
When Are the Nominees Announced?
This 2024, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will celebrate its 96th edition of the Oscar ceremony. This Tuesday, through a live broadcast, the academy will finally reveal the complete list of nominees, which includes 23 categories in dispute, the most important being: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. The broadcast will begin at 8:30 AM (ET)/ 5:30 AM (PT). Actors Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2) and Jack Quaid (The Boys), from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, will be in charge of revealing all the nominees.
