More than 40 years after the death of Elvis Presley, a new biopic inspired by the life of Priscilla Presley had its debut at the Venice Film Festival, where it not only drew applause from the audience but also moved the singer’s ex-wife to tears.
The film, directed by Sofia Coppola, was screened at the 80th edition of the festival in front of the cast, the production team, and Priscilla herself, who although she did not participate in the official press conference of the film, did not hesitate to recognize the fantastic work of the director.

After the premiere of the film, Priscilla Presley revealed how difficult it was for her to watch the movie, as the film depicts her personal life and portrays the great love she felt for Elvis. “It’s very difficult to see a movie about you, about your life, about your love. Sofia did an excellent job. She did her homework, we talked a couple of times, and I really gave her everything I could for the story.”
