Ryan Reynolds announced a sabbatical from acting, at least for a while; he revealed it through his social networks and also confessed the powerful reason that led him to make this drastic decision that took many of his fans by surprise.
It was through his Instagram account, that the actor indicated that he will take a sabbatical, to rest after having been working at a very fast pace during the last years, even after the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is worth remembering that in 2021 alone, we have seen him in Free Guy and The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, and soon we will also be able to see him on Netflix in Red Notice. He also participated in giving his voice to the dubbing of Pokémon: Detective Pikachu and The Croods: A New Age and we will also soon see him in the musical comedy Spirited, coming soon to Apple TV+.

Blake Lively’s trolling
Naturally, we wouldn’t expect anything else from our favorite trolling couple other than some humor in the announcement. After the viral post, Blake Lively mocked her husband by commenting that “Michael Caine did it first.” It seemed that 88-year-old British actor had retired from business, although he clarified later on it wasn’t entirely true but that he hadn’t found a script he wanted to do in over two years. So we hope this is just a small break in Reynold’s career and that we’ll see him back soon.
What will happen with Deadpool 3?
With this news, fans of the anti-superhero are wondering what will happen with the third Deadpool movie. It is still unknown what will happen and if Reynolds will put the suit back, as Marvel Studios recently indicated that filming will begin sometime in 2022 with Kevin Feige’s team.
In addition to the fact that it is not known if Reynolds will continue as Deadpool or if some other actor will replace him, the arrival of Deadpool to the MCU is a fact; what we do not know is if he will be in Phase 4 or Phase 5.
