Squid Game became one of the favorite series of many, and how could it not, if at all times we were wrapped in a sea of suspense? Such was its success that the creators decided to launch a second season and something even better: a reality show.
Squid Game: The Challenge will take us back to the original series but with real participants, the same games, and the same prize, which is a significant sum of money. Ok, it will be very similar, but not the same, because it would be a complete massacre if that happened, but it is still interesting.
Just like director Hwang Dong-hyuk’s series, Netflix advanced that the reality show will feature 456 contestants, who will face extreme tests, and little by little, some will be disqualified.
In addition, we will witness contests that appear in the series and others that promise a lot of tension, strategies, and alliances. “The stakes are high, but in this game, the worst fate is to go home empty-handed,” reads the statement from the streaming platform.
When Does Squid Game: The Challenge Premiere?
Netflix announced that this show will hit its catalog in November of this year and will consist of 10 episodes. And just to add to the suspense, you should know that, in January, it was reported that some participants required medical attention from day one of the recordings.
