Stranger Things 5 is officially happening: Netflix confirmed the start of this production and shared photos. Let us remember that this fifth installment marks the end of the Duffer brothers’ story, which came into our lives in July 2016. Sadly, the start of season five was halted by strikes by the actors’ and writers’ unions. It would originally begin production on May 5, 2023, which would have meant that the release of these final episodes would be ready in the summer of 2025. Now it looks like we’ll see Stranger Things season 5 in winter 2025 or perhaps early 2026.
What Do We Know About Stranger Things 5?

The cast photo confirms what we already knew: that most of the original cast will return. The photo features stars such as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, and others.
As for the Plot…

There are jumps in time. Season 5 will pick up quite some time after season four ends, which is perfect because the cast has grown over the years and no longer fit into their childish characters.
It is speculated that the show will pick up from the shocking ending of season 4, but somehow they will pick up the story sometime later, three to four years later. The theory makes sense after they tracked down production requests looking for vintage cars from 1988, that is, years later than when the series takes place in the early and mid-80s.
The Stranger Things Phenomenon

Stranger Things has been a tribute to the genre films of the eighties that marked a generation, it is set in Hawkins, Indiana, a seemingly normal town. After the sudden disappearance of a young boy, the overwhelming search by his family, his friends, and the police ends up entangling them in a series of deadly events.
Discovering what will forever change Hawkins—and perhaps the entire world—will test the protagonists’ friendship and have a major impact on their lives. Since its premiere, Stranger Things has received more than 230 nominations and 70 awards, including several Emmy Awards and the SAG Award for Best Supporting Performance in a Drama Series.
Stranger Things is a watershed in the consumption of original content on streaming platforms and consolidated Netflix as a super producer of its own stories.
