Our hearts exploded with happiness after the possibility of seeing Eddie Munson again in Stranger Things grew, as he became one of our favorite characters.
Apparently, they heard our prayers and that rebellious metalhead, music lover, will be back in a prequel that will give more details about his life before meeting those who would help him defeat Vecna.
His fate will not change; it will remain faithful to what we saw in the fourth season of the Netflix series, but we will be able to fully love the character played by Joseph Quinn.

However, this prequel is only confirmed in written format under the name Stranger Things: Flight of Icarus, and the author is Caitlin Schneiderhan, who is already working on the fifth and final season of the project.
What Will the Stranger Things Prequel Centered on Eddie Munson Be About?
The story will take place in 1984, two years before the events of the fourth season. The official synopsis tells us that we will follow Eddie Munson in his quest to become a famous musician.
The character meets Paige, a record producer who will help him and his band Corroded Coffin achieve their goals.
Unfortunately, to achieve this, Eddie needs money, and while this happens, we will meet his father Al Munson, who has practically already defined his future.

According to the author, we will see Eddie “become a hero, experience complicated and uncomfortable decisions that led him to become the brave misfit that we all knew and loved.”
When Will the Book About Eddie Munson’s Origin Be Released?
This book is expected to be released on October 31st in the United States. So far, we do not know if it will be translated into Spanish and if it will arrive in our country. Just in case, we are already crossing our fingers and toes.
Although the presence of Eddie Munson in the last season of Stranger Things has not been confirmed, we have just been ignited with the flame of possibility, not only in book format.
Story originally written in Spanish by Nayeli Párraga in Cultura Colectiva.
