Although we didn’t know we needed it, the announcement of the release of a sequel to the Christmas classic immediately excited us, but it has also flooded us with nostalgia as it reminds us of our childhood.
So far, it is known that the original producer of the film, Gary Goetzman, has met with Tom Hanks, who, in addition to having the rights to the story, also participated as a producer, to develop a new plot that will make the thousands of fans of the film happy.
Although we have to admit that the idea also scares us a little, as the second part could end up ruining the memory of the first and becoming a failure, knowing that two of the people who helped make the first part a success are involved in the project for the new film gives us a little peace of mind.
What Will The Polar Express 2 Be About?
So far, few details are known about the plot of the second part of The Polar Express, what is almost a fact is that we will be able to see again the charismatic host of the most magical Christmas train of all and, of course, Father Christmas.
It should be noted that the 2004 film is based on the children’s book of the same name, written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, which tells the story of a little boy who, on Christmas Eve, after having doubts about the existence of Father Christmas, is invited to travel on the Polar Express to meet Santa.
