Tim Ballard, the man behind the true story that inspired the controversial movie Sound of Freedom, has been accused by seven women of harassment, for which the former CIA agent is under official investigation.
Ironically, Ballard, who heads an international organization against sex trafficking, has been accused by several women in his association of committing advances under the pretext of “doing whatever it takes to save a child.”
According to information published by VICE, the activist used undercover anti-trafficking missions as an opportunity to force women to pretend to be their wives, sleep, and even bathe together in order not to be discovered. In addition to the above, the testimony of one of the victims indicates that on at least one occasion he sent them photographs in his underwear.
Due to the investigations against him, Tim Ballard resigned from his organization on June 22, 2023, and has remained separated from it ever since. According to the NGO representative, the association “is committed to combating abuse and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination towards anyone,” so a private law firm has been hired to conduct an extensive investigation into the allegations.

Timothy Ballard is an American activist known for waging a fight against child trafficking, which led him to found the organization Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), through which he carries out various activities to stop this crime. Ballard’s work includes conducting Internet investigations to infiltrate child pornography file-sharing networks and helping to train law enforcement officers in these procedures.
In addition, he has also testified before the U.S. Congress and has recommended procedures and practices for rescuing children from child trafficking rings. However, more than once he has come under fire for broadcasting raids without regard for the privacy of the victims and for openly supporting the construction of a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
